Chainring Bash Protection:

Bash Guards (also known as Chainring Guards) are designed to save the chainrings in the case of inadvertent misjudgment for clearance.  If you play in the rock, a bash guard like this can be your ticket to peace of mind.  Designed specifically for the WickWerks 33/22 Tooth Mountain Bike Chainring Set, this metal guard mounts on a mountain bike triple crankset in place of the big ring to offer a reasonable protection of the chainrings.

Our Mountain Bike 33/22 chainrings are sold separately as a set, made to fit a standard mountain bike 104/64 BCD ( Bolt Circle Diameter ) 4-bolt, triple crank — available from most manufacturers.  This chainring bash guard mounts in place of the large ring for the finished the package.

Compatibility:

3X to 2X Conversion:

– To convert a mountain triple (3X) to a double (2X), use this chainring bash guard in place of the big ring.

These simple, metal chainring bash guards offer reasonable protection against misjudged obstacles.&nbsp They are sleek and relatively light, and designed specifically for the respective WickWerks Chainrings.

Triple to Double Conversion:

If you have a Mountain Bike Triple (3 chainrings), you can make the conversion to a 2X setup (like 2×10) with chainrings from WickWerks, then, to complete the conversion, add a chainring bash guard like this.  The bash guard simply mounts in place of the big ring of the triple — which makes the conversion complete without the need for a new crank.
