Description

Standard Chainring Bolts (Bolt and Nut Pair):

Chainring bolts consist of a pair of fasteners parts – the bolt, and what is effectively the nut.  These are the classic double chainring size and configuration.

These are standard size, standard replacement for bicycle chainring pairs.  They work with road and mountain bike applications where two rings are “sandwich” connected either side of the crank fingers.  They work with all the WickWerks chainring sets such as the Road Bike shifting chainrings, Mountain Bike Shifting sets (except SRAM style mountain 2×10), and all the Cyclocross shifting rings.

Specifications:

Chain Ring Bolt (Pair):

– 2 pieces (one male, one female)
– CNC Aluminum 6061-T6
– Black Gloss Anodize
– Grip range 6.8 mm to 10.5 mm
– “Nut” has slotted back
– Weight 2g each set (1 bolt and 1 nut)

Compatibility:

– Fits most standard chainring mounting applications.
– Use with 2 ring attachments
– Not for single ring connections (except when spacers – like these 3x to 2x conversion tabs or Chainline Spacers – are used).

These chainring bolts are sold in single sets (one male and one female) – so please make sure you order the right number for your crank.  Most road bike applications require 5 pair;  Most standard mountain bike cranks require 8 (4 each for the larger ring(s), and 4 male pieces for the small ring).  Bolts are sold only in pairs (bolt and nut), so if you need just the male portion, please order a set.

For Mountain 2×10 chainrings that have the threaded large ring (SRAM style 120/80 BCD cranks), please use our Mountain 2×10 Special Bolts.

The male pieces (called bolts or sometimes screws) have a hex socket for an Allen wrench.  The female pieces have a slot on the back (see images above).  Standard bicycle tools work with this fasteners.

Chainring bolts are black anodized.  (Sorry, only black is available at this time.)
