BikeRumor.com is known for some pretty detailed reviews. Want to know what they had to say about the WickWerks 2×10 mountain chainrings? Better yet are the comments …
This article is sort of a comparison of the WickWerks 2×10 and the SRAM 2×10 chainrings — or rather, more of a conversion from the Sram to the WickWerks in order to test them. Among other things, Bike Rumor compares the weight, mounting, and of course, shift quality.
One of the main points is dealing with direct mount front dérailleurs when wanting to change tooth counts on the bike. Many direct mounts have enough flexibility to handle a couple teeth, but not this one. Interesting hack to accomplish it.
Below the article come the most interesting part – the comments. I’m often amazed at the diversity of people — some are really smart and share that wisdom – like the first comment (and, well, most of them). On the other hand …. Seems like even Chris, the owner of WickWerks, couldn’t leave that one alone.
