Bicycle chainrings have been around for a long time, and so have their shifting issues. WickWerks rings are different - with BRIDGE Technology - these ARE a better chainrings.

Advantage WickWerks:
There is a shifting advantage with WickWerks Chainrings. Once you experience it, it's hard to ever leave. It's in the radical ramps (or BRIDGE technology) used on the inside face of the rings.As seen in the pictures, the inside face with the long ramps makes contact with full links of the chain. These ramps act different than the usual shift pins, because pins grab only one chain link - in the middle of the side plate. These ramps, instead, lift from under the chain - under the chain link pivot points - to give full and stable lift. Check out the Technology Page for much more detail and illustration.
Because these chainrings are different, they require a little different set-up than standard rings. It's not much different, but a little fine adjustment will go a long way in making these rings shift better, shift faster, and shift more reliably than the competition.
